Prices depend on the type of ingredients and complication of design. There is an additional charge for delivery and a refundable $10.00 deposit for the board the cake is displayed on if the board is returned. Other types of cakes, like birthday cakes or other types of special occasion cakes are individually priced based on size. WHEN SHOULD WE RESERVE THE DATE FOR OUR CAKE? It is never too early to plan for your wedding cake. Reserving early gives you more opportunity to reserve the date you are looking for. It is not unusual for a couple to book their cake reservation a year from the event date. We accept bookings from 1 year in advance or as close as 3 - 6 months before the actual date as long as that date is still available. May to September is the busiest times for weddings. And a last minute cake booking is always a possibility-just call. HOW DO WE BEGIN THE PROCESS OF SELECTING A CAKE? Drop us an email that way we can begin the process of understanding what kind of cake you are looking for including style, taste and pricing. We can email you a list of cake, filling and icing choices. Then if you think we are a good fit, we can set up a time for a consultation and a tasting. Spend time thinking about what style and flavors you might like your cake include. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CONSULTATION? We make you a 6" tasting cake with a choice of 2 cakes, 2 fillings and 2 icings that you have chosen. You will have a chance to look through a portfolio of wedding cake pictures and get your cake to take home to enjoy. The charge for the tasting is $15.00 for each 6" cake ordered. CAN I BRING ALONG PICTURES OF WEDDING CAKES I LIKE? Yes, of course. Bring pictures of anything else you might want to incorporate into the design of your cake: color swatches, flowers, patterns or any other element you would like to include. Look at lots of pictures to help you get ideas about what kind of cake you are looking for. IF I DECORATE MY CAKE WITH FRESH FLOWERS DO YOU PROVIDE THEM? If you want to decorate your cake with fresh flowers ask your florist to provide some extras for the cake. We can arrange to pick them up if the florist is nearby. If we get the flowers from our florist there will be an additional charge. DO YOU ACCOMMODATE FOR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? Yes, we can make cakes that are dairy-free, wheat-free or vegan. CAN YOU MAKE A VARIETY OF STYLES OF WEDDING CAKES? Yes, we can make cakes of all different sizes and shapes for any number of people including cupcake wedding cakes. CATERING DO YOU HAVE SET MENUS, PRICES OR WEDDING PACKAGES? All menus are custom designed. We do not offer set menus, prices or wedding packages. Prices vary and are based on your food choices and calculated on a per person charge. IS THE WEDDING CAKE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? The wedding cake is priced separately. ARE RENTALS AND SERVICE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Rentals and service charges are figured separately from the food costs. ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP US OBTAIN RENTAL EQUIPMENT AND WAITSTAFF? Yes, we have access to a number of rental companies. We can help decide on what you will need to rent or purchase if you are going to use paper goods. We also have a staff of experienced and reliable people for available for service. CAN WE TASTE YOUR FOOD? Yes, of course. After we meet and talk about what kind of foods you would like to serve we can set up a tasting. There is a charge for the tasting. The charge depends on what you will taste. IS THERE A VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN OPTION AVAILABLE? Yes, we would be happy to discuss any special type of food needs you might have. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL CHILDRENS� MENU?
