HOW ARE WEDDING CAKES PRICED?
Prices depend on the type of ingredients and complication of design. There is an additional charge for delivery. Other types of special occasion cakes and desserts, birthday cakes or a cookie platter, are individually priced based on ingredients, design and size.
WHEN SHOULD WE RESERVE THE DATE FOR OUR CAKE?
It's never too early to plan your wedding cake. The earlier you plan the more likely your date will be available. Cakes can be booked 1 year in advance or as close as 3 - 6 months. A last minute booking is always a possibility, simply get in touch here.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CONSULTATION?
The Cake Design Team will make you a 6" tasting cake with a choice of 2 cakes, 2 fillings and 2 icings that you have chosen. You will have a chance to discuss your ideas for flavors and design. A portfolio of Maxine's Catering/Bittersweet Bakers' wedding cakes will be available for additional inspiration. The charge for the tasting is $50.00 for each 6” ordered. $30.00 for a single half.
CAN I BRING ALONG PICTURES OF WEDDING CAKES I LIKE?
Yes, of course. Bring pictures of cakes you found or of anything else you might want to incorporate into the design of your cake: color swatches, flowers, ribbons or your personal cake topper.
IF I DECORATE MY CAKE WITH FRESH FLOWERS DO YOU PROVIDE THEM?
If you would like to decorate your cake with fresh flowers, ask your florist to provide some for the cake. The flowers can be picked up if the florist is nearby, or the team can purchase them from a local florist. If they are purchased from a local florist there will be an additional charge.
DO YOU ACCOMMODATE FOR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Absolutely. Maxine's Catering/Bittersweet Bakers specializes in delicious tasting Gluten-free, Dairy-free, vegan cakes and desserts.
CAN YOU MAKE A VARIETY OF STYLES OF WEDDING CAKES?
Yes, cakes can be made in many different sizes and shapes for any number of people including cupcake wedding cakes.
DOES MAXINE'S CATERING/BITTERSWEET BAKERS PROVIDE OTHER TYPES OF CATERING SERVICES?
